Join our women’s small group as we embark on a faith-filled journey through a transformative book study. In a world that’s constantly changing, this book guides us to trust God with our futures, navigate challenges with confidence, and embrace the promises God has for us. As we discuss and reflect together, we’ll learn to let go of the past and move forward with boldness. Let’s grow in faith and step into what God has in store for us, together.

Girlfriend's Guide to the Bible

Small Group Women's Bible Study

Wednesdays, 9:30-11am
Starting September 13
Lake Forest Campus

Of the two books of the Bible named after women, one was a Jewish girl who married a prominent Gentile (Esther and King Ahasuerus) and the other was a Gentile woman who married a prominent Hebrew (Ruth and Boaz). Both women were part of God’s redemptive history: He used Esther to save His people from physical destruction and He used Ruth as an important genealogical link in the messianic line, first to David, and ultimately to Christ.

Caregiver Support Group

Alternate Tuesday Evenings beginning OCT 24 at 7pm
Lake Forest Campus

The Caregiver Support Group will begin using Mary Tutterow’s book The Heart of the Caregiver as a springboard for our interaction.

Tired? Lonely? Overwhelmed? Caring for a loved one is difficult work. It can often leave a strong person feeling overwhelmed and stressed. If that’s you, then The Heart of the Caregiver is just the respite you need. Mary Tutterow, fellow caregiver and advocate, invites you to seek God’s life-transforming love through Scripture each day. Allow the Holy Spirit to encourage you as you live out God’s call to love others through your service to them. Move from overwhelmed to overjoyed.

Join us every other Tuesday from 7:00-8:30 pm in A108 at Christ Church, Lake Forest.

First meeting will be October 24. Books will be available that night.

Spiritual Direction

Susan Neaman: sneaman@christchurchil.org

Spiritual Direction can be life-giving and transforming as one begins to sense where God is leading, hovering, teaching, healing and offering His love. Listening to the leading of the Holy Spirit includes moments of savoring the joys in life or sifting through the hard life trials we experience. This unique time with a Spiritual Director is confidential and helps one draw closer to the Lord in whatever situation has arisen. Christ Church offers and initial meeting with a certified Spiritual Director at no charge, at which point you can decide if you’d like to pursue Spiritual Direction on a monthly basis. Ongoing cost details would be discussed at your first session.
