POSITION SUMMARY: 19 hours per week.

To provide leadership for the campus congregation primarily through corporate worship and the development & nurture of worship and tech teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Worship Ministry

  • Plan and lead weekly worship services in cooperation with the campus pastor and in coordination with the master sermon schedule.
  • Recruit and develop the vocal and instrumental worship teams that lead worship at the campus which includes the training and care of these musicians.
  • Lead weekly rehearsal of the worship team (usually on Sunday mornings)
  • Individual practice time to be well prepared for the rehearsal and service.
  • Work with the Campus Pastor in planning liturgical elements in the weekly worship services.
  • Work with the Campus Pastor to coordinate the creation and production of special
  • events (Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Worship Nights, etc.).
  • Research new songs and implement a rotation of new songs into the campus repertoire creating new charts for the musicians, and new lyrics slides for

ProPresenter.

  • Work with the Tech Director to ensure that all ProPresenter slides are accurate
  • Schedule worship teams 4 weeks out
  • Communicate with the worship team early in the week before each Sunday
  • Record rehearsal tracks as needed

General

  • Work with the campus pastor to develop and manage the worship department budget.
  • Be available to occasionally lead worship in other Christ Church venues
  • Recommend the acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of musical fixed assets of the church including instruments, equipment, and the music library
  • General Staff Responsibilities
  • Attend weekly campus Staff Meetings
  • Attend monthly All Staff Meetings
  • Attend weekly Christ Church worship leader meetings
  • Attend weekly Production Meetings Participate in other staff meetings as needed (Creative Team, Seasonal Planning, etc)

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Attend all required training and meetings (staff, one-on-one, team, etc.).

• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards members, co-workers, vendors and

guests.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures of Christ Church.

• Establish regular office hours.

• Check phone messages sent to your extension daily.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
