Our Sunday services at the Lake Forest campus offer a more blended worship experience in our beautiful sanctuary. Surrounded by elegant architecture and bathed in natural light, congregants enjoy both contemporary worship and hymns, thoughtful sermons, and a sense of timeless spirituality in this sacred space.

Our :01 services at the Lake Forest campus provide a more intimate and contemporary worship experience in a cozier setting. Held in a smaller, softly-lit room, these services feature modern praise music and a live-streamed sermon from the main sanctuary, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere for those seeking a fresh approach to worship.

All of our Christ Church campuses are very involved in our communities. We have many local partners in North Chicago and around our campuses that we support financially and physically, including Renew Communities, which builds affordable homes in North Chicago.

Meet Campus Pastor Paul Fowler

Pastor Paul is our Lake Forest Campus Pastor, as well as the Executive Pastor. He’s a Midwest native, originally from Iowa, and married to his wife, Heather, with three children. When he’s not working, he’s reading. He’d love to meet you, so make sure to introduce yourself if you visit our Lake Forest Campus.

Our Saturday Night service meets at 5 p.m.
Blended services meet at 9 & 11 a.m.
Contemporary services will meet at only 11:01 a.m. for the summer.

At Lake Forest, we offer two different types of services. Downstairs in the sanctuary we have a more blended service, while upstairs we offer a more contemporary service. Both include about 20 minutes of singing and 30-35 minutes of relevant, Biblical teaching.

What time are your services?

At our Lake Forest campus, we offer services in our main sanctuary at 9:00 & 11:00 AM and in our contemporary :01 space at 9:01 & 11:01 AM. We also have a Saturday Night service that meets at 5 PM.

Do you have programs for children?

Yes, we offer age-appropriate programs for children during most of our services. These include nursery care, Sunday School, and youth groups.

How long do your services typically last?

Our services usually last about 60 minutes, but this can vary slightly depending on the campus and service type.

What should I wear to church?

We welcome you as you are. Some attendees dress casually, while others prefer more formal attire. Feel free to wear what makes you comfortable.

Do I need to be a member to attend?

Not at all! We welcome everyone to our services, regardless of membership status.

How can I become a member of the church?

Are your facilities accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes, all of our campuses are equipped with wheelchair ramps and accessible seating areas. If you need any special accommodations, please let us know.

Do you offer communion?

Yes, we celebrate communion regularly on the first weekend each month. We welcome anyone who has accepted Christ as their savior to participate.

How can I get involved in church activities beyond Sunday services?

We have various small groups, volunteer opportunities, and community outreach programs. Check our website or speak with a staff member to find the best fit for you.

Can I watch your services online if I can't attend in person?

Absolutely! We offer online streaming of our services from the main campus, which is a great option for those who can’t make it in person or want to stay connected while away.

How do I arrange for a baptism, wedding, or funeral?

Please contact our church office to discuss arrangements for these important life events. We’ll be happy to guide you through the process.

Lighthouse Kids → Kids (0-3rd Grade)

Each service, we have special age-appropriate classrooms for your kids, ages newborn through 8th grade, to participate in. For kids up to third grade, they get to participate in Lighthouse Kids. Your kids will be busy, in both large and small group settings, learning about Jesus in interactive ways.

Fleet 45 → 4th-5th Grade

For our fourth and fifth graders, we have a special group called Fleet 45. In their group, they continue to learn about God, but they also incorporate serving, leadership and spiritual growth into their weekly programming.

The Cove → Middle School (6th-8th Grade)

Middle schoolers are in The Cove, which builds on Fleet 45. The same emphasis on serving, leadership and fun are incorporated, while digging deeper. Extra retreats and mission trips help enrich these lessons into real-life experiences!

High School (9th-12th Grade)

SHYG (Senior High Youth Group for grades 9-12) is all about reaching high schoolers and developing them into wise, life-long followers of Jesus. Students are invited to participate no matter where they are in their faith journey.
