Welcome Parents!

Fleet 45 ministry is designed to meet the unique needs of kids in 4th and 5th grade. 4th and 5th graders are motivated by fun, love to laugh, play, learn and connect, but lack the self-consciousness that might hold them back or slow them down. Fleet 45 focuses on developing the kids in their faith, while giving them opportunities to serve, lead and grow.

All four Campuses provide Fleet 45 on Sundays, during the following times:

Lake Forest

Service times: Saturday 5:00 p.m.
Sundays  9:00 a.m., 9:01 a.m., 11:00 a.m. & 11:01 a.m.

Crossroads

Service times: 10 a.m.

Highland Park

Service times: 10 a.m.

Vernon Hills

New to

Fleet 45?

Fleet 45 exists to come alongside families as they raise their children to know, love and serve the Lord. Our goal for children is to come to faith in Jesus Christ, grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ and go out into the world with the light of Jesus Christ. We value families, age-appropriate Bible teaching, small groups, safety and fun.

Since safety is one of our values, all volunteers complete an application, reference check, background check and training in Lighthouse Kids policy and procedures.

Think you want to join Fleet 45?

While you might be too old to come for the activities, there’s no age limit on our volunteers! Our volunteers go through training and a background check process, before being placed into one of our kids’ classrooms. If you want to learn more or are ready to sign up, fill out the interest form!

Awana

Awana is a nondenominational children’s ministry committed to reaching boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ while training them to serve Him. Awana Clubs are a place where children can play games, memorize Bible verses and learn Bible lessons throughout the school year.

Weekends at
Fleet 45

Our weekend services give kids an opportunity to attend worship with their families, connect to a community of friends (we call small groups), listen to age-appropriate teaching and of course have lots of fun.

On Sunday mornings, 4th and 5th graders will need to check in at the Lighthouse check in area and receive a name tag and parent pick up ticket. The kids will attend worship with their families and be dismissed to attend large group and small group time. During large group, kids will hear an age-appropriate Bible story that will be followed by further discussion in small group. Kids are encouraged to bring their Bibles. Parents, when the service is over you will need to come and pick up your 4th or 5th grader. Don’t forget your pickup ticket.

Fleet 45 Events

Throughout the year, there are special events designed for 4th and 5th graders. Events are designed to give the kids a taste of middle school events but at their age level. Events include dinner, games, mad grab, movies and more. Kids are encouraged to bring friends. Reach out to any of the Fleet 45 team for upcoming events.
