Care + Support

Christ Church offers several ways to provide support for
your specific area of need.

Crisis Help

Crisis needs can strike any of us at any time. If that moment has come for you, turn to us. We are here for you with the hope of the gospel and capacity to help you take your next steps toward meeting your needs. If we are unable to give you direct assistance, we have extensive knowledge of crisis agencies, churches and organizations in the Lake County area that can give you the help you need.

If you need to talk or have a prayer request, please call the church office at 847-234-1001 for immediate help.

If you are homeless, your best first contact is PADS of Lake County. You can reach them at (847) 689-4357.

Support Groups

At Christ Church, we offer a variety of support groups for those who are going through some of life’s toughest situations including divorce, cancer, and grief. Explore these support group opportunities to learn more and begin to heal.

Pastoral Care

For pastoral care and support we encourage you to contact your campus pastor.
Please locate the nearest campus to you so the pastor may reach out to you.

Prayer Support

Need prayer? The best way to get your prayer request to us is by using the prayer request form or by calling the church during office hours at 847-234-1001. When you leave a message by phone or form please indicate the urgency (ie. date of surgery…) and let us know if you’d like a follow up call.

On the weekends, prayer teams are in the buildings throughout the services, and will be delighted to pray for or with you.  Just ask someone with an Ask Me nametag.

Practical Help

For when a crisis suddenly presents itself and you find yourself unprepared. Or when the challenges of life seem to conspire against you and you don’t have enough food in you pantry; or that 18 year old car you’ve held together with duct tape and dental floss finally quits cold; or you can’t afford to fix your leaking roof there are people at Christ Church who might be able to help.

Marriage Support

If you are married, we can help you to keep your marriage strong. Letting God be the center of your marriage, and learning what the Bible says about how to keep your marriage healthy are both important keys to staying happy and staying together. During the course of the year we offer the following:

Starting Right is a unique premarital workshop opportunity for couples to grow together in Christ as they learn from licensed counselors and pastoral staff.

PREPARE Inventory All couples are encouraged to take this relationship inventory that provides measurements in 10 areas showing where your strengths are and where there could be growth. Contact Jeanette Finlay to get an activation code to take the PREPARE Inventory online.

Church Community

“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:24–25

We believe that connecting with others is more important than ever! Our hope is that everyone in our church will find ways to continue meeting together, providing care and encouragement as we all learn how to faithfully love God and others in this season.

Sign up for the group below that best fits your situation or interest, and the leader will reach out with details. If you’re not sure which group to choose, let us know here and we will help you get connected.
