Worship and Arts Coordinator: Vernon Hills


To provide leadership and pastoral care for the congregation primarily through corporate worship and the development and nurture of other worship lay leaders. This position would work between 7-10 hours per week.



  • Lead in the planning and implementation of the weekly worship services at assigned campus in coordination with the Campus Pastor and Christ Church Pastor of Worship and Arts
  • Be available to occasionally lead in other Christ Church venues
  • Recruit, train, nurture and shepherd worship leaders and teams for assigned Christ Church campus
  • Develop and articulate a philosophy of worship, and implement that philosophy in worship services and through training of teams
  • Supervise the worship team volunteers for assigned campus
  • Recommend the acquisition, maintenance, and replacement of musical fixed assets of the church including instruments, equipment, and the music library
  • Assist the communications team in coordinating media and website content for assigned campus
  • Establish regular office hours
  • Check to phone messages sent to your extension daily
  • Meet weekly with the whole Christ Church Worship and Arts team at the Lake Forest campus on Mondays
  • Attend the Service Production meetings on Mondays with worship representatives from all the adult services for the purpose of coordinating all the services. Attend other ministry related meetings deemed necessary by the Pastor of Worship and Arts and/or Campus Pastor
  • May assist Technical Productions Director as needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned



  • The Worship Coordinator will be accountable to the Campus Pastor at their assigned campus, and to the Christ Church Pastor of Worship and Arts
