Why Vernon Hills?
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Christ Church?
Christ Church is a growing, non-denominational, multisite church with campuses in Lake Forest, Highland Park, Grayslake, and now Vernon Hills!
What are advantages of multisite?
All the shared resources of a large church with the smaller church feel and location in the community.
When will you open?
We are currently open and doing our best to love and serve the needs of the community. That being said, with the current COVID-19 situation we want to obey the governing authorities and abide by the social distancing orders. As soon as we receive the all clear, we are excited and ready to open our doors for a Sunday morning! In the meantime please join us for our online service.
How do I attend an online service?
You can join us online here.
What if I need help? Or what if I want to volunteer to help others?
What time is your service and what should I expect?
We meet at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings and you can expect a 70 minute service with contemporary worship, prayer, a sermon, and time for fellowship.
Will there be coffee?
Absolutely! You might not want to meet us unless we have had coffee!
What should I wear?
All are welcome and please wear whatever you are comfortable with but to give you a point of reference, our pastor will probably be wearing jeans and a collared shirt.
What about elementary kids?
We believe in families being able to worship together and we also believe in age appropriate lessons. Therefore, kids K-4th grade join us for worship and then are dismissed for small group lessons.
What about babies?
We offer nursery – preschool throughout the entire service but you are also more than welcome to keep you kids with you.
How can I get involved?
The best way to get involved is to attend the service regularly, join a group, and serve on a team. For help finding a group or team, fill out a connect card in the lobby or online and someone will reach out to you as soon as possible.
