Please join in helping us prepare these boxes for children in over 100 countries.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I get shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child?  Participants can use their own shoeboxes or the OCC branded shoeboxes.  Each campus has OCC shoeboxes available for a limited time beginning Oct 25th after Sunday worship services and also during Trunk or Treat.

What to include in each shoebox?  Participants should select Boy or Girl and age category.  Boxes should include: One WOW item (doll, soccer ball w/ pump, stuffed animal), toys, non-liquid hygiene items (toothbrushes, bar soap, washcloths, combs), school supplies, and accessories (socks, sunglasses, watches, etc).  Also, a $9 donation to cover shipping.

Where to drop them off (or who to give them to)?  Participants can drop off their shoe boxes in the lobby of each Christ Church campus.  There should be a donation bin or table at each campus lobby designated as the drop off location for the boxes.

What time frame to drop them off? Due to Covid-19 precautions, we are encouraging folks to drop off their OCC shoeboxes only on Sundays before and after morning worship services at each campus.

When is the deadline to turn in the boxes?  Firm deadline is Sunday Nov 22.

Are we doing this at all campuses, CR, HP, LF & VH?  Yes

Will we be a hub/collection/packing center?  NO.  If people from other churches are looking to pick up or drop off their shoeboxes, they can contact Susan Schmidt, the OCC Area Coordinator, at 847-778-6525.
