What is Live It Out: Love Your Neighbor?
MONTHLY SERVING FOCUS
Christ Church is launching a year-long initiative to equip and mobilize our whole church to serve in powerful, consistent ways–across our campuses and in our communities. Whether it’s packing meals, stocking food pantries, or supporting local educators, each act of service is a chance to live out the love of Christ.
We’re focusing on one theme each month–from food insecurity to literacy to education equity–and partnering with trusted organizations like North Chicago Community Partners (NCCP), Feed My Starving Children, and ReNew Communities.

Unfortunately, hunger does not take a break for the summer. Risk of food insecurity and hunger actually increases for children who rely on breakfast, lunch, and after school snacks being served at school. Summer meal programs are sometimes offered but access is often a challenge. As a result, many local food pantries see increase in demand for healthy breakfast foods during the summer months.
Please consider purchasing boxed pancake mix, syrup, cereal, granola bars or cereal bars, and fruit cups or apple sauce pouches, so children in Lake County have healthy breakfast options when school is not in session.
