Dear Christ Church Family,
I hope you had a good weekend. As I shared last week, Sheri and I drove down to Atlanta for her parents 65th wedding anniversary. We stayed to celebrate Father’s Day with her Dad and family. We start back to Chicago tomorrow.
Today’s Devotion: Today we focus on a topic of great importance – in fact, you must learn to embrace Paul’s advice here if you hope to move forward with peace and joy.
Yesterday’s Service: During this past weekend’s Father’s Day service, I interviewed Charlie Duke – one of four men still alive who walked on the moon. The service is here.
Tonight is the Forum: Speaking of Duke, tonight I interview him for The Forum. You can sign up here. BTW, if you have questions you want me to ask, send them my way at
BBQ / Here 4 Highwood: You have a chance to enjoy a big July 4th dinner (smoked ribs, mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw and apple pie) and help those members of Highwood who have been particularly hard hit by COVID and sheltering in place. However, if you want in, you need to order now. Dinners will be picked up between 10:00 a.m. – Noon on Saturday, July 4 at the Lake Forest Campus. (Note: the meal will be ready for you to warm and eat, or it can be saved for later). Watch this video to learn more. To order – or to get more details – click here.
