In Hebrews 10 we are told that because of what Christ has done for us, we can draw near to God. In James 4 we are promised that, “if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us.”
C.S. Lewis suggests that we “draw nearer to God, not by trying to avoid the sufferings inherent in all loves, but by accepting them and offering them to Him.”
Ok, but that’s a bit passive. It’s about how we respond to life. What do we do if we want to actively draw near to God right now?
It’s a profound question. In today’s reflection on Hebrews 10, I offer a few thoughts.
