Christ Church Lake Forest

(Will also be streamed online)

Join us for this special event featuring Paula Faris. Paula will be discussing her new book, Called Out, when she decided to make a career shift while anchoring “Good Morning America” and Co-Hosting “The View.” She will do this in an interview format with Kerry and Sarah Wood, who are members of Christ Church and friends with Paula.
We have a creative format for the event – Kerry and Sarah will be live from the Lake Forest sanctuary and Zooming with Paula from her home office. You can join in person or online, and you will have a chance to participate in the Q & A. The first 100 people who register to attend in person will receive Paula’s new book for free.
We know that Covid has caused many to evaluate their own calling and future life decisions. Paula’s book highlights her career shift and life decisions, and we hope that it will help as you think through what’s next. Following the interview, there will be a time for you to join a discussion about your life, calling and future.
About Called Out:

When I pumped the brakes at the height of my career, anchoring “Good Morning America” and Co-Hosting “The View,” I was told I was crazy. Heck, even I thought I was! Without the titles, I realized I had NO idea who I was outside my job, outside my “calling.” But, it set me on a journey of discovering my worth wasn’t my work, my value wasn’t my vocation and my calling wasn’t JUST my career.

Once I uncovered the parts of me that wouldn’t shift and shake in a crisis—whether personal or pandemic—it released me from the lies we’re told by society and gave me permission to branch out, step through my fears, and out into faith. I’m hoping this book encourages and equips you to do the same while uncovering your vocational lanes and digging into your unshakeable purpose.
